Brimline 0.3 · all my AI limits, account by account
I work with four Claude accounts. When one runs out, the work moves to another. But the built-in indicator shows one account at a time, and doesn't say which one: to know where I stood, I opened each account, one by one.
So I built Brimline, a small app for the Mac menu bar:
- one gauge, one colored part per account, and a red exclamation mark as soon as an account reaches 90 %;
- one click, and each account shows its limits (the 5 hour session, the week or the month) and when they reset;
- Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and Cursor;
- agents read the same numbers (a JSON command and an MCP server) and pick the account that still has room.
And since so many AI tools fill the menu bar with icons, 0.3 can also hide them: one click on a thin bar and, on macOS 27, they disappear in place, one after the other, up to the bar, which turns into an arrow; one click on the arrow, they come back.
The choice I stand by: Brimline only reads. It signs in to nothing on your behalf, copies no token and sends nothing anywhere else. Free, public source code (PolyForm Shield license), Mac only.
